Comital Alluminio headquarter is located just outside Turin. With a total surface area of over 85,000 square meters (23,000 of which are covered), it represents one of the most important industries in the field of thin cold rolling.

With over fifty years of history and continuous technology innovation, Comital can produce foils 9 micrometers thin, and can produce foils which are only 6 micrometers thick. These thicknesses are obtained on very large-scale productions, keeping both superficial and geometrical characteristics with a tolerance measured in fractions of micron.

Those tolerance limits are much more severe than the ones stated by current norms, used by main national and international Comital customers for acceptance and liability controls. The end uses include flexible packaging for solid and liquid food products, blisters for pharmaceuticals and many other technical applications.

The production covers a range between 6 and 50 micrometers in various alloys (1200, 8006, 8079) up to a maximum width of 1640 mm. The plant follows a strict environmental policy according to rules and production processes designed avccording to the criteria of sustainable development., as demonstrated by the ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications granted to the plant.Comital has also met new REACH and BRC regulations standards.

The efforts towards sustainable development are clearly visible in our plants: we integrated the Air Pure system - which removes processing particulates - and a water treatment system. A completely automated system, moreover, makes it possible to recover, compact and stock all production scraps from the rolling lines. The scrap is, therefore, completely recycled with no waste or loss.
